100 Women. 1 Hour. $100 x 100 = $10,000 The concept is simple. It is a grassroots mobilization of fundraising for locally based charities serving our community. 100 Women Who Care: Emergency Services YXE was formed to create a network of women who work in or are affiliated with local emergency services, who will come together twice a year to create a direct and positive impact on a deserving charity in our city.
The group meets for one hour, hears presentations from 3 local charities and then jointly selects one to be the recipient of that evening's proceeds. Every woman writes a $100 cheque to the selected charity and watches how the group’s commitment turns into a $10,000 donation. Do that twice per year and witness how $20,000 can improve the lives of our neighbours when placed in the hands of those working to serve our community.
Although our organization is called 100 Women Who Care: Emergency Services YXE, we are by no means limiting ourselves to just 100 women or to just those who are employed in Emergency Services. If you are the wife of a firefighter, a nurse, a police officer, the daughter of a paramedic, or have ever even had to call an ambulance...we invite you to join us. The more women who join this incredible organization allows us to give more to the Saskatchewan charities in need of our support.
